About Me
Traveling For Business

There are a lot of people who only travel for pleasure, but I mainly travel for work purposes. I work for a large company that sends me all over the globe to promote our products, and it has been difficult to learn how to stay comfortable on the road. I work hard to do everything I can to prepare for my trips, but some hotels make it difficult to stay comfortable during the journey. This blog is completely dedicated to traveling for business and learning how to be a tourist--even when you aren't in a city simply to enjoy your free time.

Etiquette Tips You Must Know For Your First Limo Wine Tour

For your very first singles wine tour, your main objective is to have fun and enjoy all the different wines that you are going to encounter. However, like with most new events, there are etiquette rules that you should be aware of before you go on your first limo wine tour. This etiquette rules will help you feel more comfortable during your tour and will help you understand what is expected of you.

#1 Dress Up & Be Comfortable

Before you even leave your home, you are going to want to think about what you are wearing. You don't need to wear a tux and a formal dress, but most wine cellars try to establish a classy feeling, so this is a great time to wear slacks and a button-down shirt or a dress. Put on some of your nicer looking clothes.

At the same time, during a wine tour, you are going to be both sitting, standing and walking around a lot. Make sure that your outfit is also comfortable and is something that you can wear in a variety of different situations.

That said, some wine tours are more formal and some are more casual. You can check the pictures on the wine tour's website to get a better feel for how formal the tour is that you signed up for.

#2 Bring Cash With You

With most wine tours, you pay for transportation to a variety of wineries but you have to pay for the tastings that you choose to participate in on your own. Some wine tours add this cost into the overall fee and others do not.

Make sure that you bring cash with you so you can easily and quickly pay for your wine tasting. Some wineries will charge you for each tasting that you enjoy and others will have you pay for a flight of wine. A flight of wine is where you are able to sample a certain amount of wine for a set price, such as 3 or 5 wines.

Check with the wine tour that you are taking and see if you are going to need to pay for your own samples or if those are included in your fee.

You are also going to want to have cash or a card on hand so you can purchase any wines that you enjoyed. One of the points of a wine tour is to buy the wine that you enjoy.

#3 Sample & Appreciate The Wine

When you go on a wine tour, you will get to participate in tastings. The point of a tasting is to allow you to check out and appreciate new wines; the point is not to drink so much that you feel drunk.

When you are served a sample of wine, take a second to smell it and enjoy the aroma. Then, take the win, swirl it around and appreciate the taste. From there, you can either swallow the wine or you can spit it out into the spittoon. The spittoon is there so that you can sample and see how a large variety of wines smell and taste without having to drink too much wine. The spittoon is also great if you don't really enjoy the taste of a wine.

You may be able to order and enjoy a full glass of wine if you find one you really like. However, remember to drink responsibly and not to exceed your personal limits. This is not a booze cruise; it is a wine tasting designed to allow you to taste a variety of wines and figure out what wines you like and enjoy. For more information, contact companies like Wandering.
